Presenting my research to people from various companies

I participated because I thought that I could reaffirm how my research can be applied to the real world and what problems exist through interactions with people from various companies. The interactions with the participating institutions in the workshop were very stimulating. I was able to partake in meaningful exchanges, not only discussing my research but also gaining a better picture of actual work contents and how research has been applied in society.
Post-matching internships made the companies more attractive
I was approached by NEC during the poster session. The representative of NEC had worked with a professor in my undergraduate lab and his responsibilities were similar to some associated with my research; hence, I was able to discuss my research in more depth.
Later, the secretariat contacted me about matching internships. After extensive dialogue with the NEC representative, I was selected to participate in a one-week internship in January 2023. The research topic for my internship was adjusted based on my research and and the related work at the department where I was interning.
To students who are going to participate in the SSS Matching Workshop
Thre is a lot to learn even in the first year of a master's degree!
The SSS Matching Workshop allows you to discuss and match with companies. I also learned about other students’ research and obtained information about employment opportunities, which was very beneficial for me even though I participated as a first-year master’s student. This event is easy to attend because it is held on campus.
